Would you like to join our team? We are looking for an Applied Researcher in the Next Generation Work team.

Function

Within the Competence Centre "Next Generation Work" at Antwerp Management School, we conduct research and advise organizations on important labor market challenges related to the future of work.

Our key word is sustainability, as we focus on themes such as mental well-being, dialogue, sustainable careers and sustainable HRM as central themes. Together with our business and research partners, we create a sustainable vision of work, emphasizing the importance of co-creation and taking into account the views of all stakeholders. Therefore, we pay attention to the individual/employee, the team, the organization and the broader ecosystem.

Through state-of-the-art academic and practice-oriented scientific research, in collaboration with various partners and stakeholders, we arrive at practical recommendations and solutions (interventions, tools, workshops, etc.) to address the challenges of the future labor market.

We form a multidisciplinary team of researchers and professors who also work closely with colleagues from the other areas of expertise within Antwerp Management School.

What will you do?

  • You will collaborate on applied research projects in the field of HRM with a focus on mental well-being and sustainable careers
  • You will work on projects run on behalf of our corporate partners or in the context of public funding
  • You take ownership of the projects entrusted to you, in close coordination with the client and colleagues involved in the topic
  • Research can include "desk research," as well as qualitative or quantitative empirical research in which you take responsibility over the entire research process
  • You will familiarize yourself with the literature on the topic, focusing on both academic framing and practice relevance as well as the appropriate research designs to investigate a topic and collect and analyze data
  • You report on findings in the form of a presentation, white paper, research report, blog or academic publication
  • You will co-write research proposals in these areas for future projects
  • You will also have the opportunity, based on your interests and talents, to be involved in other activities within the 'Next Generation Work' team or the broader AMS organization.

Profile

  • You are fascinated by everything related to work, well-being, careers, and how to make a sustainable connection between people and organization through HRM
  • You are interested in providing scientific answers to practical questions, as well as in the practical relevance of scientific theories
  • You are eager to learn and you can work independently
  • You have a good knowledge of research methodology and statistics and are willing to further qualify in this if needed
  • You have good communication skills (written / oral) in both Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus
  • You hold a master's (or PhD) degree in human sciences (psychology, educational sciences, applied economics, social sciences, educational sciences...)
  • Relevant experience is a plus but not a must
